Turtles, Twins & Time: My Emotional Quest to Complete a TMNT Grail

Story By Stormshadow_210
Hello all TMNT fans. So a little backstory here. Three years ago Muffy, my late mom and I attended C2E2 . At that event for the first time ALL THE ORIGINAL TMNT 80s cartoon turtle voice actors were there! I went back and forth on what to have signed….and ultimately went with my original boxed NES TMNT 2 The Arcade game.
On that day the lines were so long! After getting both Raphey and Mikey, i was short on time and decided to pass on both Donnie and Leo and enjoy the comic con floor.
I have regretted it ever since. Until this past weekend. I saw 6 months ago that the All Monsters Attack ( a umbrella con under the Days of The Dead company) was coming to the Crown hotel and convention center in Rosemont IL in May 2025. I did not think i could go for months. Between running business , 5 stages of grief and mental health still up and down , ….and oh ya , INFANT TWINS lol . But this past week we decided since we missed C2E2 this year and it was Muffys first Mothers Day, we decided to attend!
Now I have never been to a smaller convention outside of Joe Con. Was very cool ! Had a huge focus on Godzilla, Freddy Krueger, ect, ect. From live panels to cult horror/ Godzilla B bootleg movies to Art and T-shirts. The main crowd and draw was of course for all TMNT fans. From the original TMNT 90s trilogy to the 80s cartoon , it was TMNT heaven . When getting Leo’s and Donnies autographs completing my boxed NES game , they both came from behind table to look at the twins! After getting home and taking my prized NES TMNT treasure to toy room it hit me.
The “tale of two signings” this game will always resonate with me. You see , for my b-day in 1991 my mom got it for me. Then decades later she was there with me at C2E2 when I got Ralpheal and Mikeys signing. Then just three years later mom is gone and twins are here for the “part two” signings this past weekend. Was hard to digest. I hope you all enjoy the pics and consider attending when in your town!
